GET GONE The day has passed quietly so far but looking at my watch, the time is closing on the lunch date at two and time to be off to smarten up. Obviously Eliza knows where I am going and who with, but its only lunch and nothing more, for now anyway. So I left her doing the chores for a change and off I jolly well went. Via, on orders from her majesty, the dry cleaners to pick up her small jacket top. I went into the shop and presented this ticket expecting the bill to be about twenty quid. When the chap asked for nearly sixty because of the alterations, I was shocked! Carrying the flimsy piece of clothing back to the car I was very upset. All I could think about was how this represented everything else with Eliza. Spend, spend and spend big! That's Eliza and that's been the problem all these years. Never a care whether the money is there or not, just Eliza wants and Eliza must have. Immediately! Nice, very nice. I met up with my lady friend just after two
and went to a pub restaurant on the hill. Wow, what a gorgeous
view. We sat in a a front bay overlooking Petersham valley and
the Thames snaking away into the far distance. The food was good
and hot, which is something of a rarity these days. The company?
Good as well. We chatted and ate and then chatted some more,
enjoying the ambiance and repertoire. Around four, my mobile went
and I answered to Eliza, complaining that she had shopping to do and money
to spend for sheets and things. Then getting very upset that I was
abusing the situation and taking too long.
